SV8100 Department Group

Hi,

I've just installed an sv8100 r2 with 6 lines (isdn 2) the problem I m having is:

201, 202, 203 to ring on the main ddi then after 10 secs ring all extensions including the 1st 3, ie 201-203. How I set it up is have 201-203 in an Incoming ring group 1, and all exts in dept group 1. Have the ddi point at target 1 - 830 (remote) target 2 - 1(IRG 1) target 3 - 201 (dept grp 1). Now that works however... What the customer wants is to have ONE key on their phone that effectively does not allow external calls. So in the dept group exts they have a log in/out dept group and the irg exts have a DND external. That works fine, except when the calls trip over to the dept group, if 201-203 have their DND set, they still ring! Any way round this or is it too complex? Oh yeah I forgot to mention they also want to use the park a call feature too. Any help much apreciated

Im not that hot on the Sv but couldn't you use a virtual loop back circuit to route the call to 2x ring groups, rather than a ring group and dept group. Then the DND would apply to both ring groups?

That sounds like a good idea. I'll bear that in mind from now on since I have only just passed the course, thanks for your help.
