Unhappy Collecting Call Data During the Phone ringing itself

Dear All,

I have a

EPABX: NEC IP 924
SMDR: IP2WW - 2PGDU - A1

and I am trying to collect the SMDR data through a serial port logger given by eltima Softwares. It is a generic com port logger application. I am getting the call details only after diconnecting the talk. I wanted to collect the data Caller ID during the bell rining itself. It will be great if any body can help me on this.

Thanks in advance for your great help.

Tx,
Shafeeque O.K.

Firstly I will qualify my answer by saying that I have never heard of the model of PABX you say you have.

That said the very nature of SMDR data is that it is an advice of what happened and not what is currently happening. The only output I can think of that may give you the data you require is MCI or possibly PMS but not knowing your system I don't know if the machine has those capabilities.

Smdr

Thanks for the reply.

Please note that I am very new to this kind of programming. The model my vendor says is

NEC IP2AT-924M : It will be great if you can help out, points to some good references for further reading or investigations.

Sorry as I said, I have never heard of the system you say you have, However It may be a difference between countries, me being in Oz and you in the States. I will have to deferr to those here from your home country. Sorry I can't be of further help.

Sorry to disturb you:

Giving the maximum information with my limited knowledge of this product: It will be great if you can identify the model and tell me whether i am possible to get real time caller details.

NOW PBX is Directly connected to the HUB

PBX has , IP2WW-EXIFU-A1 Programming Interface card with SMDR, LAN, CF

Technician says: TAPI enabled at port 8181 (no idea), TCP port is 4455 (able to connect to this port through socket programming and I am getting all the data similar to the normal SMDR report after a call successfully ends)

IP ADDRESS of the PBX is 192.168.10.1, so itried to connect through Internet explore to this ip
and I am getting a window written as NEC TOPAZ User Pro with user name and password, tried all the way to login but failed.

Searched for some TAPI drivers in the net for NEC TOPAZ User Pro never found anything in the net.

If possible please give some details how i can capture real time call details.

you should set some programming, such as 35-01-01,ect.
Then you can connect it with windows' hyper terminal by TCP/IP.

I think you will find that the pbx is a XN120 system the exifu card has a lan port on it so you can program the system through topaz. 35-01-01 you can chose to output to V24 or the LAN Interface. If you look on easy edit under SMDR click on Setup and look at the help file it tells you how to set it up.

The 192.168.2.1 is the IP address of the system, and you will access web pro - for prgogramming the system. The default username is tech and the password is (edited) You should be able to see the program steps mentioned above for smdr output. You can output this on the lan port, using the port you were given.

Please do not post Pbx passwords in the open forum. You are more than welcome to share this info via PM.

Thanks

I'm trying to achieve the same thing (access call-data while the line is still ringing).

Does anyone know if it is possible to do this via Ethernet with a NEC-XN120?

I'm able to telnet to the system and it spits out data which looks like this:

Code:
                                                            27/07/2009 PAGE 006
CLASS TIME DATE LINE DURATION STATION DIALLED No./CLI ACCOUNT
ITRS 13:44 21/04 006 00:00:32 203 0641923***
IVOT 13:44 21/04 007 00:00:00 303 0206000***
ITRS 13:42 21/04 004 00:03:16 401 0205022***
(I've blanked out a couple digits.)

But that data is from _after_ the call has taken place, I would very much like to be able to read out the data while the call is still ringing.

I want to be able to do this so I can connect the call data to our customer-database and show who's calling on screen in a non-windows environment.

Also, should I create my own topic for this?
