Rep Power: 0 ![]() | howto export voicemail to .WAV? AD-64 Greetings all, this forum's been a big help to me occasionally in the past. I guess it's about time I become a member. I have an issue where I need to locate and export a voicemail left for a particular station at a particular time for legal reasons. We are using neaxmail AD-64 version 2.2.82. I have found a bunch of AUD files, and have pulled about 20 for that timeframe, but I have no idea how to open or export them into a useful format. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Create a transaction box for the user that has the voicemail you would like to copy out. Then listen to the message and select the option to redirect the message. Redirect the message to the transaction box that you created. The redirected message will become the greeting for that transaction box. then just copy the greeting out like you would any other greeting.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | This is from Mike Dunn at NEC, if you have access to the NEC forums you can find the original post there If you need to know about cooledit here it is. Here you go. If you want it you can download CoolEdit at Adobe - Soundbooth CS3, Audio Editing Software The format that the Dialogic card uses is mono 4bit/6khz ADPCM. Cool Edit will convert to this format. Here's the recipe... 1.) Open audio file 2.) In the menu bar choose "convert sample type" from the edit menu > 3.) Choose 6khz/16bit/mono and then click okay. 4.) Then do a "save as" and in the lower part of the dialog window, select Dialogic ADPCM (.vox) I have found that Cool Edit displays 4bit/6khz ADPCM files as 6000/16bit/mono even though they are the aformentioned format. Not to worry. ADPCM stands for Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation. Also, anytime you want to listen to the Dialogic format in Cool Edit > you must add a .vox suffix to the file or it won't play back!

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | solution Thanks much for the reply, and sorry for the lack of response as I've been off for a few days on vacation. Your reply was very helpful, thanks! Looks like they stopped making cool edit some time ago so the link wont take me anywhere useful but thats fine; I just googled for an old copy and found cooledit 2000. Unfortunately the above directions wont work with 2000, and the resulting file is a garbled mess. What you need to do is start by adding a .VOX extention to your file, open it in cooledit, select 6000, then save as a wav. Last edited by incusus; 08-20-2008 at 02:20 PM.
