Unhappy Nec Neax 2000 Ivs Wcs

We aquired an NEC NEAX 2000 IVS r1920 WCS phone system with wireless phones too, everythings working but the wireless, I've done alot of research and no luck to bring up the wireless phones, first all the info for wiring the antennas is different, one piece of NEC literature say's to wire one way, another one this way, I have red power lights and red blinking status lights, also I can't make the CISA2 ports idle in CMD E53, their up and blinking and connected to the SC03 card but can't release them unless I pull the cards but go back when cards are put back, I have all the wireless ID info but when I get the LVP code from NEC and try to load it with MATWORX I get code error 50, is there a shotcut or special code you can use or anything else I can do to get this working? My company is depending on me, NEC wont help because I don't have a NEC ID, plus because its older help is limited too, if there's anyone who can help it would be very very much appreciated, Thank You.

It's not just older, End of life dates have already been announced. Frankly it's not worth the effort you are putting into it. However the WCS manual is available here....

http://www.wedophones.com/NecManualsLead.htm

Not having installed one though (only replaced handsets) I think you may have problems getting the handsets to work as you need a special programme and lead to associate them with the system! Also are you sure you got the ID base station as it has been known for companies to install multiple sites using the same ID station then removing it. The advantage for them is that a supervisor can take his personal phone from site to site but the downside is if you buy a second hand one of these you can never fire it up again as the ID station isn't there.

Matworx will not work for loading the LVP code into a 200IVS, you will have to get a copy of Matworx studio or enter the code by hand using MOC.

Perhaps it is a country difference but I searched the WCS manual and couldn't find a reference to an "LVP" code. Care to enlighten me?

By the way Matworx for IVS2/IPS will work with the IVS but you will only be able to use MOC mode, none of the enhanced features will work and you will get a warning about missing code keys when you connect. But if that is all you have it is useable as a terminal interface.

Sorry, I was out of town for a few days, the LVP code is the code you get from NEC to activate the wireless, you go online or call NEC, put in the system info plus tech ID and they give you an LVP code to program into the system, then your wireless phones can work.

Definitely a country difference then. We never had an LVP, the base stations included one that was an ID station and that Identified the site. we would then work with a "CSID" when matching handsets to the site.

When programming the wireless data did you go through the Virtual Line.Trunk Data assignment for integrated type wireless? This is where most people make mistakes when adding wireless in the older 2000's. Normally I would start with trunk 255 and work backwards. If I wanted to use extension 1800 for the wireless I would assign A1800 in CMND 1C then assign 1800 in command 10. Tell me what you have got done and we will help you from there.
