Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Good Morning, Can anyone tell me how to make all 8 phone lines on our 2000IPS ring the "Answer" button on all phones when needed? i.e. receptionist breaks. We upgraded our 1000IVS to a 2000IPS and the NEC tech didn't reprogram the new switch with this feature that we had set on the 1000IVS. They used to have it so all 8 lines would ring EXT 2200 receptionist 32 button Dterm during day, on breaks she would press a button to make lines ring all phones, at night she put all lines into night VM box EXT 2290(AD-64 back at ADMIN over T1). Thanks You Rob Last edited by osurob; April 24th, 2007 at 09:18 AM.

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Rob Is there a night key set up on the receptionists phone? Is there currently any provision for night mode. If not what type of lines are we dealing with, PSTN, ISDN or both. It's not the transfer key that will be ringing, it will be the ANS key (key 95 in CMD 9000) In cmd 7600 what do you get for 2200? I'll leave it at that for now, we should be able to work out how to resolve this from there.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | List up command 3002 and 3003 for your trunks. I see a night destination in 3005 for your trunks where does 2290 go? You could assign 3040 to a 13 then 08>116 to a 0, 6529>01 to a 1. then when you press the night key you would dial 0 for day mode call would terminate to 2270 1 for night mode calls would terminate to 2290 and 2 for Mode A and calls would terminate to the Answer key on all phones.

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Not sure where he has 2290 going, when i dial 2290 it immediately shows 2291 in the display and just keeps ringing. When I then try dialing 2291 it does the same. Question, what does the "13" stand for in CMD3040>? I checked the 2000IPS manual so I can understand your instructions and I don't see "13" as an option, "13" is skipped in data options. Everything else makes sense so far and I thank you very much for helping me. Thanks Again. 3002>100:04- 3002>101:04- 3002>102:04- 3002>103:04- 3002>104:04- 3002>105:04- 3002>106:04- 3002>107:04- 3003>100:04- 3003>101:04- 3003>102:04- 3003>103:04- 3003>104:04- 3003>105:04- 3003>106:04- 3003>107:04- Last edited by osurob; April 24th, 2007 at 11:01 AM.

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | I just found out that the way they currently put the lines in night mode is to grab that 2270 button appearance, and the prime line 2200 button, and do the following to both: * 3 7 to place in night mode, # 3 7 to put back in day mode. So apparently pressing speaker, night, speaker (2290) isn’t doing anything. 200>A3:A180- 200>B3:A181- 78>017:29- =2900 which sends it to our AD-64 at ADMIN So what do I need to do to get all lines going to 2270 (already working) for day mode, all lines into the night voicemail mailbox (already does by doing the *37 thing) for night mode, and all lines ringing the Answer button on all phones for “A mode”, while using one “NIGHT” button as you already explained. Thank you again!!! Last edited by osurob; April 24th, 2007 at 11:45 AM.

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Smoom pretty much hit it on the head. You need to check CMD 3040 for A mode if you want to send that to TAS but it sounds more like you are using a call forward for night mode. check Cmd 200 for A37 (*37) also for A3 (*3) to see what is being done and check whatever code you use for night answer to see what that really is. Once you send calls to the TAS you will need to check CMD 9000 & 9001 for key 95 on each Dterm to ensure ringing and flashing.

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Oh oh Bit different to what I thought as you posted whilst I was putting my post together, Cmd 3003set to 04 for each line. Cmd 3005 set to 2900 Cmd 3040 set to 03 for each line check cmd 9000 & 9001 for each dterm Then you need to programme a mode change key on to a nominated Dterm and this is where I fall down as I have never had to programme this before (maintenance tech who has always simply checked the programming looks right without actually registering it) I think it is F13XX where XX is the tennant. I'm sure there are plenty here who will correct me if I'm wrong. Hope this helps! I should have said A180 is split call forwarding set and A181 is split call forwarding cancel. Personally I would say a lazily programmed system as this is a real cheat of a way of achieving a night service arrangement, but that of course is just my opinion!
