Call park transfer/pickup issues

Hello, I have an NEC Electra Pro Level II system-
lately, we have been having a problem with just a few phones:

someone receives a call, places it in call park- pages the person to pickup say line "1"- person goes to their phone to pick up line one by entering the correct code , display reads "error" however the person is still waiting.

2nd scenario: I pick up call on spare phone in my office with call park codes , it works fine, then I transfer to my phone from call park, phone rings at my desk, I pick up phone, display reads error. the call is ringing, I cannot pickup the call. I have to let it go to voicemail then return call.

It appears we have a problem with call park not allowing my phone to pickup calls holding on call park , display reads "error",or receive transfers from call park- Is there a code that somehow got disabled?

this is happening at 2 extensions.

I am not that familiar with NEC programming. I have the Install manual, but I cannot find troubleshooting for call park

I have phone system programming experience on other pbx systems, if someone could give me the steps i can fix this annoying problem!

thanks so much

It sounds more like you have an issue with the system not being able to deliver the call to the set.

For example, let's say you have access to lines 1-5 on six ext's, and two other ext's have access to lines 1,2,3 & 5.

If a call is parked from an ext on line 4 you will not be able to pick it up from the other two phones, same with an xferred call. The phone will ring, but there is no path to deliver the call to that ext.

This same issue may also be caused by one of the lines being accidentally programmed in the wrong tenant.

Are your phones programmed with CO line keys or with call appearance keys (CAP keys)? I will assume since you are using PARK feature that they have CAP keys.

These phones that sometimes can't accept call sometimes my not have access to ALL of your trunks.
