Location: Reading Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I have taken over an IPK with this voicemail card installed. I know I need Linux to configure it, but how do I connect to its serial port? I've got a nullmodem cable - can I use that? Do I need any specialist software (cosessions)? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks | ||||||||

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | To set up the Linux portion of the voice mail you need the PuTTY software & passwords supplied by NEC. To access & admin the voice mail (build mailboxes, setup schedules...etc...) you should connect to the nic card of the voice mail card via your laptop or any pc on the network by typing in the voice mail's IP address + /admin like so... (example: 192.168.10.10/admin) in your web browser. It's got a different looking interface, but has very similar setup to that of the AD-64.
