I feel stupid; I have inherited a NEC Neax 2000 with VM system. I'm a Nortel guy. while I quickly learned the NEC over the last 9 months. Some new issue just happened the other day


Some background: I use Matworx32 to administrate the switch and the standard software for the voicemail system on a different computer. We generally use the DTerm 8D handsets.

I have not made any significant changes. Earlier in the year I had our 3rd party vendor out to assist with disabling the “paging” function. Lately I have been in MOC mode to set a number of DID straight to voicemail.

Problem: The message waiting indicator lamp is not active on any handset.
While the system is functioning normally, this is an inconvenience to the phone user.
as they have to login periodically to check their voicemail. What changed? And how can I reset it?
