Cool NEC 7400 - GSM interface addition

Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to program an NEC 7400 to route certain numbers through particular trunk lines? The situation is that I want to know if a GSM interface(s) can be connected to the PBX and then be programmed so that all calls to the companies own mobile fleet get routed through the interface. I understand that we could designate certain lines for calls to the mobile fleet and then the users select those lines manually. However an automatic solution would be preferable.

More Details
I work for cost consulting firm, so I do not have detailed knowledge of the system. I'm mainly interested in knowing if this is feasible so I can then advise my client. The benefit in doing this is that calls amongst the mobile fleet are free, so converting fixed line calls to mobile calls offers substantial savings.

If I have not been clear or you have any other queries please do not hesitate to ask.

Regards
Paul

In short. Yes you can. The Least Cost Routing in the system can be programmed to do this automatically.

And you can put the GSM diallers on some trunk circuits.

The only problem is that you only wanted calls to company mobiles to go through the diallers. Unless the company mobiles alll start with the same prefix. Eg. 0418 1234 xxxx. There would be a lot of programming to break out the LCR to certain numbers.

The system analysis the digits you have dialled from the left hand side.

I would suggest they send all mobile calls through the diallers as 1st choice then their normal route for 2nd choice.

We do this in our office.

Thanks for the reply critter197, I think they will go the way you suggested and route all mobile calls through the diallers.
