NEC Manual
Hello, I am new NEC PBX user (just got one from local distributer)

I want to know,
1. is there any paper manual/paper come from NEC ?
or I should purchase from NEC (include basic installation manual) ?
2. Can I load/upgrade Feature self by MATWorx ?

The manuals these days come on DVD and you should have got one with your system. Yes you can change the programming yourself from Matworx

Paper manual may be exist, but very uncomfortable!

Use electronic version manual. It is fast and useful!

NEC manual isn't a handbook for beginners!

So, because I got nothing about manual.
It seems local distributor hold all manual.

I must purchase them separately.

The courses that NEC provides usually will give you one depending on what course your there to take. What system do you have maybe I can send you a copy! I have the NEC IPX/IMX all manuals on CD.

Some features you have to purchase. I have the MatWorx 32 CD but cannot use it because we haven't purchased any features. I only use it for MOC mode on our 5 NEC 2000IVs.

My system is NEAX 2000 IPS, system version R10.
I have R8 manual, but I need following manual.

1. Dterm Series E Installation Guide
2. R10 Command Manual
3. VoiceMail system related manual because we are choosing VMS.

Sorry dont have IPS have IVS manuals in dividers, Very thick and very annoying to research on. Have Octel 250 voicemail server although it is extinct. Avaya still trains on it but doesn't sell. Parts are very expensive.
