neax2000 phone move issue

First post here and if I'm posting in the wrong location, please feel free to flame, then direct me to the proper place.

This is on a NEAX 2000 using a Dterm Phone.

I have become our companies impromptu pbx tech and I have little knowledge of these systems.

We recently had to move a secretary phone to another phone location and update it's extension. We reprogrammed the extension and LEN assignment through the CAT menu and updated the Name and phone type through Matworx. A problem we are now having is that this phone cannot transfer calls from an outside line. Ex. Phone call comes in, person picks up line, tries to transfer and gets a rapid busy signal after pushing the transfer button.

The phone can however, transfer a call that originated from another extension.

If anyone is able to shed any light on this issue, I'll be more than grateful.

there are many types of dterm phones you need to be more spacific but any ways the differ in the key layout so if you enter the wrong type the keys will change places and finish up under the wrong button... just change the phone type untill it works

What type of 2000 is it? IVS, IVS2, or IPS. What type of phone is it Dterm Series III, E, or I and how many buttons does it have?

It's an Neax 2000 IVS, phone is a Dterm Series E 16/24 I believe.

Thanks for the responses, we actually were able to fix this by calling a pbx tech to come out. Took him about an hour, so I'm sure it would have been all above my head.

One another note.. does anyone have any good websites that cover introductory programming for the NEAX IVS system?

2000stuff.com I couldnt put the hyperlink because I haven't posted 15 posts, site requirement. Just put www. infront of the 2000stuff.com. Most of the information is relative to the 2000IPS because the IVS is end of life, but you should be able to use some of the information.
