Automatic scheduled Backup of 2400

We have a 2400 switch that we recently upgraded to an IPX and added IP phones to some departments. Now that we have a network connection to a DHCP server, can we do scheduled backups to that server?

The 2400 can do automatic backup to the flash card during routine diagnostics this is done in ASYD sys 1 index 305

Bit-3 = 1 (DM / LDM / NDM Data Save during Cyclic 0/1 No / Yes 8600+)

But I think your asking whether or not you can back up to an external server or something along those lines and the answer is Yes and No. The 2400 has the ability to to transfer files Via FTP but the script would need to be generated externally to go into the flash card and download the DM/LDM/NDM/Speed / Etc... You will need to be familiar with the data structure of the flash card to successfully retrieve all of the neccecary files and remember you can also cause serious damage if you do not do this correctly.

Thank you

Yes, I would like it sent to the DHCP external server but I would not dare touch it with a script.

I was hoping Mat had a way of doing it by me just entering a network path.

Thanks

JJ
