Attach small PBX to 2400

Hi all,
I have been tasked with adding an inexpensive..something to add SIP to our 2400IPX (R20e) for a very small group of users. As I search the options it appears that a software PBX or the Linksys SPA9000 would do what we need for the price, but how would I get the two PBX's to communicate? I have been told Qsig (Q.sig), but have no experiance with that.
Has anyone here tried such a thing? What would I need on the 2400 side? A card (PA-24PRT), or just programming? Has anyone connected an 'inexpensive' PBX to the 2400? If so, what solution did you use?
Thanks.

You will probably need some type of licensing on the 2400 side...

Usually, Qsig is the industry standard which most PBX's support.

Have you considered just upgrading the PABX to IMX with SIP. It may cost a bit more but allows for future developments without messy addons.
