Need to use IP Phones with IPS 2000

We have a Neax IPS 2000 PBX. It currently has all analog and digital Dterm E phones.

I we need to put some phones in a new building that has network wiring installed already.

What hardware and licensing will I be expected to aquire for this to work?

I have a M606 Ethernet card for the CPU already.

I heard that I am unable to purchase licensing for this model from NEC as it is end of life, however i dont not know if this is true...

The IPS has been superceeded by the 8300 but is far from end of life. Speak to your dealer as it isn't just hardware you need, it is also licensing as you say. Also the M606 isn't what you need for IP phones, you need an IPPAD.

As R4 stated but was also incorrect, you do need IP seat licenses 1 for each phone that you want logged in at a time. (if you have 5 ip phones, and you want all 5 up and running at 1 time then you need 5 licenses, IP Pad Licenses and if not provided already an 8 or 32 IPLA pad card. the Pad Licenses are for each channel you want active on the IPLA (pad card). 8 channels is 8 licenses. Also do not throw away the M606 card. You need that attached to the CPU inorder for the phones to locate there DRS.

Hope this helps you.
