ISDN PRI Caller ID

I was wondering if there is a particular firmware revision for 2000 IPS to enable Caller ID for ISDN PRI.

Currently using 3200 Series R6.1. Matworx reports SC-3117 F1-0002.13

Caller ID has never worked here. I'm sure our analog lines won't work with Caller ID with 8COTS, I believe I need an 8COTQ card.

Anyone know of ISDN PRI Caller ID issues with my current firmware?

I think you'll find caller ID with ISDN has been a standard feature since day 1. See your PMs

Just a quick thought. Have you checked CMD 1325?

1-You have to confirm that your telco provided CID service to your ISDN PRI. lines
2- You can see the calling number on Desk consol, smart consol, and Dterms. and that ONLY needs programming in your Nec Pbx..
3-You have to use CMD 7600,7601,7602.
4- Have your PRI lines Dit'd to the prime lines of your Dterms.

In case of analog CID service , you also need 4RSTC card as well as the 8COTQ cards. and that will only allow bellcore Caller ID class to work, otherwise a third party convertor is needed for other Caller ID classes.
Hope this will help, and If you need more help on this issue , just let me know....

1325 is set provided.

Here's some details that may help:

Main number on PRI in is xxx-xxx-2000
Incoming calls on line go staight to General Mailbox on AD-40 VM
Caller then can dial ext, dial by name, or leave a msg in General Mailbox.

I think the Caller ID is getting lost between the transfers on the VM, but not sure. I'm a total newbie to PBX world.

Can anyone explain the concept of DIT'd to me. From what I can gather, it means that a DID gets assigned to an ext on the pbx. Is this correct?

DIT stands for direct in termination this means that irrespective of any number recieved on indial it will end up where nominated in the pabx programming. It effectively overides indial where the digits recieved by the pabx determine where the call is presented. By the sound of your setup I don't think you will be able to get CLID as the incoming call terminates on the VM and is then simply transferred internally by the VM. Mind you I have been proved wrong before so fingers crossed!

I am not familiar with AD-40 VM system. We here used a PC based voice mail system with dialogic cards installed and the related software. We do NOT have problems with the CID feature. when the incoming call arrives to the pbx it is answerd by the VM mail system and if the caller dials 0 for the operator his number will be displayed on the operator consol as soon as the operator answers the call, and if the caller dials any Dterm number then the caller number will be displayed on the called Dterm screen, but if the outside calling party dials an analog extension number, nothing will be displayed as the that extension is not supported for caller id feature..
Finally all the above can easilly be programmed in the Nec PBX with the said software version "3200 Series R6.1".

Happy New Year everyone. Well, I got email confirmation from Verizon that Caller ID is NOT provided on our PRI. Goes to show that sometimes you need to start with the basics when troubleshooting.

It is an optional cost of $100/mo for number, $150/mo for name and number. Figured that was the case. I was pretty sure the programming was ok. Next step is to convince management to add CID to the PRI, on an already inflated phone bill. Wish me luck!

FYI: The AD-40 is a PC based vm from NEC, preloaded with OS/2. Can we say legacy!
