Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Brooktrout BRI and NEC IPS I am desperate for somebody to point me in the right direction with this outbound fax problem i am having. The Faxserver is sitting behind the PBX and is not sending out faxes successsfully, i can receive faxes OK. Outbound Faxes may sometimes work mostly fail with Transmission Error status, which leads to possible line problems!, if this is the case why can i receive faxes without fail???????? I have set the Faxboard to 64k byte ECM, I have disabled all v.34, i have increases the CED from 4000 to 5000, have set Point2Multipoint, BRI, CO.. I have even replaced the Cat5 cables from the Board to the patch panel no change... HELP SOMEONE.........

Also check AA06 for proper protocol DMS, NI-2, ATT, etc. Make sure D channel is not in same route as your B's. In fact, check all your 35XX commands, especially pay attention to 3590 should be a 2 for both B and D type channels. Since you say that sometimes it works I'll assume that your tandem connection on trunk routes are not restricted in CM 36. When all else fails, check the ISDN system manual. Let's try these for starters. -Phil tell-a-tek-dot-com =)

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I need to have the brooktrout BRI board set as a slave not as the master and have been told by NEC Australia that they cannot set the BRI board as slave. The NEC BRI line can only be set a user?? Is there another BRI card that the pbx can use that could deliver faxes both inbound and outbound..

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | I have seen this configuration work but it was set up by more knowledgeable people than me! The simple fact is that the NEC system cannot act as if it was the exchange, so whether you call it a slave or user it amounts to the same thing. As either you would be able to both send and recieve so I would suggest contacting NEC technical support. Sorry I can't add further.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | have installed a 2ILCC into the ips2000 setup as ISDN terminal the Brooktrout BRI is now the SLAVE, transmission has improved however the inbound routing is now a concern. We translate the DID number to the ISDN terminal number we recieve the fax ok however it is recieved on the ISDN terminal number not the DID number... Is there a way to call forward a range of DID numbers with this setup??
