BLF on DSS Console Help

I've got an Neax 2000 IVS2 with two DSS Consoles. I am rearranging the buttons so that they are in numeric order.

As a test, I added my extension to an unused DSS button. BLF does not work. I am trying to determine why. I used command 97. What am I missing to make the BLF work on a newly added button on the DSS Console?

Here is the command I used to program the button:
97>01,56>1055

Is there another command needed to make the BLF work on button 56?

I'm not sure what you mean by that. Why do I need to create a feature access code to get BLF to work on a button on a DSS console??? What needs to be a station? I'm not programming for LCR.

BLF is working on all the programmed buttons on the two DSS console panels. I am adding a new button. The button works, but the BLF does not. Can anyone explain why? What else do I need to program?

Command 08>265 does show it is a "1" and not a "0". I made the change, and the BLF is still not working on the newly programmed button. Why does the BLF work on all the other buttons?

From the book, 08>265 says 'Display of Busy Out from ACD/UCD group on DSS Console'. My extension is neither an ACD or UCD group.

All the employee extensions (around a 100 or so) are programmed on the DSS consoles, and they all work correctly.

The problem is, the extensions are not in numeric order on the DSS Consoles, and it makes it difficult for the operator to quicky find extensions. So I am in the process of arranging the buttons in numeric order.

I want to make sure that the buttons will work after I move them, hence I added my extension to an unused button. My button lights in it's original location on the DSS console, but does not light on the new button. I did not 'move' my extension, I merely created a duplicate.

So does command 08>265 need to be set when all the other extensions are working properly?

Switchboard also noted that when that button is pressed, I do get the call, but the button does not light up showing that I am off hook (BLF). My original button does.

Sorry Buddy for that command, this is for UCD Busy Out Indication.
R U sure that its DSS console "01"? may be its "00". or else the extension number 1055 is assigned in other button of the DSS.

Actually it is. I used my extension as a test to make sure I knew how to program the DSS console correctly. My extension is already on the DSS console. Is this the problem? Can you have the BLF work on two buttons programmed with the same number on the DSS console?

Again back to numbering plan. play along or do not ask anymore questions

what does 200>1 = ?

the reason im asking what 1 is. is because the station you assigned to button 56 or DSS 01 is 1055

Wow, as condescending as that sounds - I'll refrain from taking offense to that.

That is because we use 4 digit stations. 200>1=720 200>10=804

So why don't you explain where you are going with this, so I can "play along" and keep "asking questions."

Or better yet, how about you answer this question instead:

Is it normal for the BLF to work on only one button on the DSS console when the station is on the same DSS console twice?

I found that if I removed my duplicate extension from button 31, BLF works fine on 56.

A lot of misdirections going on here. Arganos you appear to be doing things right. Whilst I have never read anything about the limitation on multiple keys acting as a blf, it would make sense for power consumption reasons. That said it appears you have answered your own question so well done.
