Timer for Long Distance Access Codes

Hi,

We Have a 2000 Ipx. When we dial long distance the call goes to our long distance provider who gives us a second dial tone prompting us to enter a six digit access code. When we make the call, get tone and dial the code, we are getting a fast busy like we entered a wrong code. When you watch your display and enter the code you will see some digits dissapear as if they are sent. If all go together the call goes through. If any digits stay in the display, the provider times out before the rest of the digits are sent.

We have this working correctly on our 2400 switch with no problems. The number dialed stays in the display while the access code is dialed and they all dissappear at once.

What di we need to change in the 2000 to make this work??

Your problem is that the LCR is looking at the dialled digits and deciding whether the call is allowed. Does the code change each time you dial it? if not you can programme the LCR to put the code in for you and you just dial the number as you normally would. You can even programme a different code for each long distance destination if necessary. Your only other option is to create a new line access code which bypasses LCR.
