Blocking an incoming number

Is there any way to block or divert a specific phone number coming into our 2000 IPS switch?

We've got a problem with one specific number calling the range of our DID's over the ISDN-Prime. It looks like they've got a sequential dialer. It's a soliciation recording call that's more annoying than anything else. We're on the Do Not Call list, but somehow they're calling in.

My bosses would like to block that number from ringing any phone on the switch or divert it to an announcement box I've got set up on Voice Mail.

Is it possible to block or divert a phone number? What command(s) would I possibly use? Thanks!

I haven't heard of the EX girlfriend feature being available on the IPS but I would be interested to hear if it is possible as well

In the IPS feature guide to programming look at CID Call Routing. This should be what you want but it is a little involved to make it all work.

Call Re - Direct

I have set this feature before, however it is not a automatic feature you will have to redirect the calls manually, and it will only work on a D'term.

If interested this is the setup : -

5122 > Tn > Dest Ext.
9000 > Ext ,Key > F5011.
9000 > Ext , Key > Dest ext.

When a call hits the phone, press the Key on the D'term then the Dest ext Key.

You can redirect the call to a virtual extension that is forwarded all calls to voicemail, and the mailbox can be set to play no greeting and then hang up on the caller. This way when that caller calls in they get hung up on.

Smoom is correct, you need to use CID routing.
