Hey Buddies, we have noticed that speaking over the MIC is really bad. the other party can not hear properly. the person who complained used to speak over the MIC always when they had AVAYA before ... any way to improve MIC performance? another question: Any way to increase the gain of the conference call ? once another party is connected the voice is getting weak! Rep Power: 4 | The built in mic on the NEC sets is only half duplex and therefore only allows for one-way speech. So if one person is speaking the other person has to wait until they are done to reply. Any noise created near the mic (shuffling papers, noisy PC fan etc...) will cause the speakerphone to cut out. To mute the mic so it doesn't cut out you can press [Feature] + 1, but then the caller will not be able to hear you. There is a full duplex speakerphone upgrade for the Dterm series phones, but it is fairly expensive, around $400 once marked up I believe. Why not use a Polycom or similar analog full duplex speakerphone for these speakerphone calls?
