I have a nec phone that wont ring it is on a NEAX 2000 IVS system - PBX Info :: Your Free PBX, PABX and Telephone Information Resource

I get a dial tone on the phone, checked the wires they look fine,I even hooked a phone up right on the board that is coming from my NEAX 2000 still nothing .

Is this a multi-line phone?

Maybe check CM9001.

If it's an analog set, could be just a bad phone.

It is a single line analog phone and I already tried three other phones. I'm starting to wonder if it is a bad port?

Have you tried swapping the analog card with another known good card?

So it's just a bad port on that card.

You can either replace the card or just avoid using that port.
