Question Problem reassigning extension to new Dterm IP Phone

I have a NEAX 2000 IVS system and have an existing extension that is programmed on a Dterm IP phone. The phone's display went out and I'm trying to move the extension to another IP phone, but when I try to log in to the phone using the existing extension it gives me a duplicate assignment. If I try to use a new extension that hasn't been in use yet, it gives me a capability exceeded. I've never seen the second message before so I'm not sure how to fix it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like your old ip phone has its MAC address still registered to the ext number. Use CMD 1290:ext:CCC to clear out the MAC set against the ext number and try to log in again.

'Capability exceeded' means you are trying to log in more IP phones than you have licenses for.

Hope this helps

Talking Programming Problem

Thanks for the help. You were right on the money and saved me a service call to boot!! Is there a way I can see for sure how many extensions I have set up on the IP side? I'm not sure how many we purchased and I also have regular phones so it's hard to tell for sure how many of each I have programmed. MatWorX might show me in a Lenlist but if there's another way, that would be great also.

Thanks again for your help.

it doesnt matter how many IP sets you have programmed as these use virtual lens. The license is based on concurrent users so on x amount of IP phones can be logged in at any one time.

May be different in the US but try CMD F88:01: and keep hitting return until you see IP Client : XXX this will tell you how many Licenses you have ( TDM Ports : XXX will do the same for TDM ext's)
