phone types on ips

Guy's I need a reminder on where you set the type of phone you want to use. Somewhere you can tell the switch to split a card into half using DTP's and the other using DTU's

I always thought it was the type of card you are using. If you look in the circuit card manual or installation manual you will see what cards support which telephones (PBX or KEY).

In 1217 you can tell the first port of the card it is a Dterm III or other, however I think will not do what you are looking for.

I think that when you assign your first port to be a different set type in 1217 it effects the the next 3 ports as well (blocks of four).

Also, after a change is made in 1217 a cpu reset is required.
