Rep Power: 0 ![]() | ccis with 2 ivs's Ok. I have 3 site ivs ccis network. A jail, courhouse, and Admin building. We have the jail and courthouse on prta's directly connected to one another via fiber. This link is 2 prta's and 1 sc00 card; channels are 125-147 and 174-197; 148 is D-channel. About a month ago, they started having problems ext dialing across the ccis - mostly fast busy and then being dropped. Sometimes just nothing at all - just dead air. After a reset, everything would clear up. However, this only lasted a week and then progressed to only working several hours before messing up. We have been mauling over everything we can think of including swapping t1 cards, d-channel cards, only working off of 24 channels at a time, trying one channel at a time, moving to different slots, finally running a cable on the ground to bypass the fiber. The last thing finally worked and has worked for a week. But, then it messed up again just as before. This time, I only reset the cards at the jail and it fixed the problem. The question is, has anyone experienced this before. I have spent at least 4 tokens to NTAC with no help. NTAC, I feel is in a I don't want to work on IVS' mode. I would accept any ideals at this point. The Jail is the main switch with all incomming and outgoing lines, plus the ccis to the admin building - which has absolutely no problems.

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | We have the exact same issue with a school district here. We are in the process of upgrading the CPU's toCP24's and upgrading to IPS at all 3 locations. We had the exact same experience w/NTAC. 3 different vendors have tried to correct the isuue, but it always comes back. When we did a database conversion from the CP00's to upload onto the CP24's the data did not upload several commands and they had to be put in manually. this was NOT fun. I feel your pain. Rep Power: 0 ![]() | C-level Loop What is occuring in both threads is a classic C-Level Loop. Very close attention needs looked at CMD 20X and LCR Comands. There is an overlap. Meaning a number is in the LCR That is pointed to the opposite PBX. The same holds true in the other side. This is definately a software issue. I would suggest that these commands be listed out and compared. The problem only will occur when the Number that is overlaped is dialed. Good Luck

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | well that could be true, but we have added another pim and moved everything out of pim 0 leaving just the sc00 cards and ti cards and all is finally well. It has been going to strong now for 3 weeks. I will give the loop thought some close attention next time I am out there though since the end user does his own programming a/m/c. Location: Sterling, Virginia; USA Rep Power: 4 ![]() | We had a problem like that, and OldNECGuy hit our problem on the head. The customer knew basic commands, and would take a phone and move the extension from location to location without changing 200 or LCR. We did a list up of all four switches and found several (10+) extensions programmed as an 804 or A29 in all of the switches.
