Newbie. How do I change the name display of an extension when a new employee calls another extension? (NEC DTERM Series E)

The User Guide instructions do NOT work!

I'm assuming you have an IPS/IVS2000 since that's the forum you posted in.

Your vendor/system admin had to program an access code to do station name change in CM 200. (In cm 200 the access code should = A110 )

There is not a default code for this so every system will have a different one.

Once you find out this code, go to the stn, dial the access code. Then use the dialpad to change the letters of the name display for that stn. The hold button moves you from one letter to the next. Once you are done press the speaker button and the display of the phone will say 'set'.

Sorry

That site won't accept a "+" in a username so that is actually my work under another name. I would be interested to know if you have any suggestions on how to make it easier to follow.

I was able to follow it quite easily.

Well written.

I just think it may be a little over the head of a beginner.
