Question Edit Virtual Line Forward

Greetings all.

Total Newbie here but have been trying to learn our NEC (NEAX 200 IVS)phone system. We get a lot of stuff done with the GUI (MATWorX Studio).

We haven't been able to get this issue but after looking around in these forums we feel we are close.

Here is the situation:

We have a Virtual line that when dialed will automatically call an outside line. When we go to Call Forwarding we see the number that it dials out there but when we change that it doesnt make any difference. We have toyed around with the Mach Script with command e600 but that has no effect either.

This virtual line is our Night Connection Station also.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks..

Hello sal,
I have these questions for you:
1-Are you unable to change the outside number that the V. Line is forwarded to ?
1- Can you call forward that V. Line to a station?
2- what do you get/ hear after calling that V. Line?
3- what COS and RSC are assigned to that V. Line?
4- Does this problem occur "ONLY" in case there is an INComing call from out side?
Anwers to those questions will help solve your issue.

1. No, we are not able to change the outside number to which that vline is being forwarded to and this is what I need to do.

1. That didnt work either.

2. when I call the V. Line the number on the screen changes to that of the outside line. The one i need to change.

3. Im afraid i dont know how to give you the COS and RSC.

4. Noone calls the the vline from the outside. although, i just tried and its a busy line.

In MatWorx, when I go to Station Forwarding and look at the settings I can see the number that I want to change BUT when I change them it still goes to the old number.

We did notice something though. When we run E604 for the V.Line it has a value of 1. If we change that to 0 it goes to the operator, so this made us believe the number 1 is refering to that number we need to change. But not sure as we are total newbies.

As I stated in my first post we use this for the Attendant Night Transfer.

in E604 the 1 referrs to a split call forwarding block. you need to go to command 1204 and enter the virtual number followed by de this should display the tennant of the virtual. then go to command 78 de and enter the two digit tennant number plus the 1 from E604 (xx1) de and this should display the number it is currently going to. Enter the trunk access code followed by a comma followed by the new number EXE. Or if you want it to go to an extension just enter that EXE.

To assign SFC you should use CM1202
To assign RSC you should use CM1201
What is your setting for CM3003, 3005 ??

Hey,

When I get to command 78 where i enter the two digit tennant number plus the 1, which in my case would be 011, it does not display the number it is currently going to. it only displays 9-

And I havent gone further then this.

thanks!

Ok, this is how much of a newbie i am at this. I dont know how to figure out what trunk this V.Line is on.

From 2000stuff.com I got the command E8 to find out the trunk but i get Data Error, which according to him it means the station or trunk is idle?

Thanks.

The 9- is the access code. Hit de again and the rest of the number will display. You will need to hit de again to get back to the 9- before you can enter the new data.

Sorry I missed that step!
