Caller ID issue

Hi guys,

I have a question: in order to have Caller ID on a 2000IPS , do I need to have license for that, or only 4RST and 4 COTG cards?

Thanx.

Thanx, smoom

10x, man.
The problem is that I have two 2000IPS: one is CP24-C and one is CP24-A. On the last one I can see the Caller ID , but on the first one ...only DDD. The settings are the same (same .ofd file) and I'm using the same CO trunk (same wire). The firmware on the CP24-C is newer than CP24-A, so...it's kinda weird.

Without checking it is always possible that different processors use different memory areas. Are you sure no data conversion is required?

I once did a software upgrade where no conversion was indicated only to find that no PHS phones worked but after a conversion was done everything was fine!

I have the same result when I use B load and script, so it's not a conversion issue. Anyway, 10x for suggestions. I'll post the answer, ...if I'll find one .

A couple of more questions for you, what generic is each switch running? to find this look at the MAtworx bar it shows which rev you have across the top when you are connected.

What type of 4RST are you using?
Have you tried assigning a F5010 key to a dterm and see if the CAller ID is there?

Have you checked your commands

3537 > RT# >> 0
35129 > RT# >> 0
09 > 52 >> 0
050 > AP# >> 08
0604 > MF# >> AP#
08 > 472 >> 0
312 > Ap No. >> 3
08 > 537 > 0 to keep info on screen
Check 15136 > SRC Class # >> 0=number 1=name

3800 Series software
Check 15400, 15136, 15215

Guys,

thank you for your help.
It seems that was a firmware problem, because after the upgrade I got a nice surprise ...Caller ID on my phone.

Hi Palu,
Nice to know that your pbx upgrade ended with the calling number displayed on your phone.
But for the sake of exchanging information about technical issues: Could you tell me and others what was your "old" format? and to what version it was upgraded?
