Cool Setup of 'vitrual extension' that goes right to voicemail

Howdy all,
Jason Wilhelm with Alaska Sales and Service here. I have a question, that hopefully someone can assist me with. We have been on our 2000IPS system for a lil over a year now. Good system, but I struggle with the MOC. Anyway I am trying to setup a virtual extension for a voicemail box. Pretty much when someone calls this number, I want it to go directly to voicemail. There is not a phone that will be assigned for this number. Someone will be logging into the voicemail daily to pickup the messages. I was going through the COMMAND manual and I think I am on the right track with CMD 11, but as most of you know NEC spent alot of time making the manuals as cryptic as possible.

Any suggestions?

-jason

You're off on the right track.

In command 11 find an empty virtual len and assign the ext to it:

example:: 11>144=299

so I assigned virtual ext 299 to virtual len 144.

Then in command E600 assign call forward all calls for that ext to go to your voicemail pilot number.

example:: E600>299=400

So now my ext 299 is call forward all calls to my voicemail pilot 400.

Your ext, voicemail pilot number and len numbers will be different, but you get the idea?

Now just just do EC6 to save the data and you're good.

( EC6>0>0 will write the temp memory to the permanent memory )

Thumbs up

Doghart,
You rock thanks for the help. I was not sure how to pull the LEN list up in the MOC so I rooted around MATworX and found it how to pull the listing. Once that was done your instructions made it smooth sailing. Thanks again.

FYI len list can be messy,

open MACH Script Editor.
from the CMD line enter..

CMD
LF11
and run the Script this will list only the data with something assigned for virtuals.

or
LF10
for Command 10.
