Location: London Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hi Everyone I have a 1 and only site i know of running CP-27 dual processors. First of all, I know nothing about these or how these work so does anyone know where i might find some information? The main thing is though, we have one with some IP client licenses, we've applied an extra set, successfully activated them, but they don't show up on the F88 command - the figure remains as it was before the licenses were applied. I've applied these licenses temporary to a CP-24 and they bumped up fine....so i know the license file is good. We did a full restart of the system, full hard power cycle. I've since been told that when you reboot a dual processor PBX it swaps between CP-27s??? Therefore if you do 1 reboot you won't see the licenses.... I've also heard you need to apply the licesnes to both and they will successfully activate to both.... Anyone have any ideas? Thanks Alex

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Pretty sure you will have to apply the licences to both but also never having done this (only one in the state which is about 15 times the area you live in if not more). I only get to play with this type of machine when the more qualified techs (Read Prima donnas) are too busy, so I defer to the posters in the US.

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | SW and Licences must be loaded to both CPU's only if the SN of the CPU's are the same this can be verified in F80>00 in both. If the same number then load the same Keys to both CPU's. If not the same numbers then the CPU's must have different sets of keys. If Philips changed this then I'm not sure this is how we roll in the States. Mextera.

Location: London Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hi I kinda worked out off my own back that if the processor serials are tied to CPU Processors and locked forevermore then the processors are likely to be sold in pairs and have the same serial number. I did a F80 and that was the case, but then i looked down what serials>licenses were also on each CPU and both had the same licenses (including the new one i'd permanently activated to the only 1st CPU) So when i saw the new license was showing on both i thought i'd be up sh1t creek. I permanently activated the license to the 2nd CP27 anyway but the total licesnes still didn't increase. I put it on 2 other systems (as temporary) both on a CPU with zero licesnes and one that already had 32 and in both cases, the total set incrememented. I eventually came to the conclusion that it wasn't a CP27 problem, it was an IPS problem on that system. My next step would have been to clear out all licensing off the processors and reapply the lot in one go. However i had other things to do and haven't been back...
