| Junior Member | Neax 2000 Ivs Hello out there,  I am new at this so please bare with me. I was given the task of changing our voicemail system... well adding to it . My boss wants the system to: upon receiving a call you get the greeting " welcome to...powerplant" If you know the ext please dial #### is what we currently have. But the other day he called in and no one in this particullar office answered the phone, so he couldn't ask at what extension was " billy" at. So this ticked him off ; and now he wants the greeting to also offer him a directory by dialing part of the persons last name. So if you know of instructions for this please email them to me or post any suggestion john.n.newell@usace.army.mil |

Rep Power: 4  | I'm assuming you have a NEC Neaxmail system on your 2000. Unless the the default setup has been changed, you can reach the dial by name directory by dialing 555 from the main menu. You can set this up as an option (press 4 for a staff directory etc...) from the main greeting/opening box. By default the directory is by last name only, but can be changed to first name.
