Location: Scranton, PA Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Setup one touch dialing We have a new IPS 2000 with all digital sets. We need to set up some one touch (Autodial) buttons. I am lost when I look at the manual because it seems to indicate that I need to set up memory allocation. This switch never had any of this set up before. Can some one please list the steps to do this in MOC terminal? Thank You, JJGable

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | I find using the 'station assignment' add in for matworx alot simpler to assign personal speedcalls etc. Firstly recall the station and then click on the speedcall tab it will then do a lookup and tell you if it has a personal location assigned or not if it has then the next tab will alow you to insert speedcall numbers. These can then be assigned to keys in the key data field in the same add in. NOTE: Make sure the correct Dterm is assigned or this may not work correctley.

I set the minimum of 20 for each user, max of 30 for 32 button phone set with 24 and 8. The memory blocks are assigned in command 73, you can modify them in 740 and the add-ons are assigned in commands 10 and 96, then modified in 97.

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | These memory blocks are assigned in both 73 & 94 you should duplicate the settings in each. Once thay are allocated memory blocks you can put these under keys on the dterm using cmd 9000. The setting is F11xx where xx= the memory block to use for that key. For example if you allocated 20 memories xx could be anything from 00 to 19. I always start with the highest and work down (but then I always allocate 10 more memories per user than they request just for this purpose.) Bear in mind that these are also the users personal speed dials and can be accessed in other ways (which is why I allow 10 extra.) The messy thing in all this is the memory block allocation as there is no easy way of knowing what is already in use and you can multiple assign & or overlap allocations if you are not careful. The best advice is keep good and accurate records. Just as an aside if you have a pattern you want a number of users to have you can assign the same blocks to all of them and then when you change the number in a speed dial on one phone it changes on all of them.
