Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Neax 2000 IVS 2 (Help Please!) Hello I administrate an Option 11 and Norstar systems for years. Our company has obtained a new building (across the street) which has a Neax 2000 IVS 2 unfortunately I cannot access via MatWorx for some reason it does not see the system (connected via serial cable) however I get a command in terminal. I have no idea what the programming language or codes for this system like I do for the Nortel. I want to be able to perform add's moves and changes, look at the sets; change the display name on the phone etc. I just got this switch and the company wants to move in ASAP and I have no clue and the previous employees won't help as the company went out of business and the ex-administrator is bitter.

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | With matworx have you tried the configuration wizard? It can be found in the Application drop down menu. Do you have the Command manual? if not then try here..... http://www.wedophones.com/NecManualsLead.htm You can programme from a digital phone the log on sequence is trf, cnf, *, trf, cnf, # (note that it is possible to set a class of service that prevents this but it is rarely done) the key depressions need to be fairly fluid as if you pause for too long it won't let you in. Then once you are in you can do anything from the phone. Thing is do you know if there is a password set in the system and if there is do you know it. If not you will need to get NEC involved for that as nobody here will tell you how to break a password for obvious reasons. Once you know you can get in post specific questions and we will try to help.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Thank you for the link to the manual. I did not mean to seem like I was trying to "hack" the Neax 2000. I am the admin for our Nortel systems. The NEC is a different beast and I am trying to quickly learn the system quickly. We will have about 40 45 people move into this office over the next few days if I can get into the system so I can setup the phones. I have MatWorx 3.61 installed on an older Dell laptop (Win2K pro) and it's connected via the serial cable. I tried everything I can think of to get MatWorx to "see" the PBX. it still says it's not connected. However if I terminal into the PBX with the same cable setup I get A command (prompt). I am stuck, I have tried to call a few phone vendors and nobody has returned my calls.

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | In Matworx have you set up the local connection in your PC? As you can obviously connect and get the command prompt you will know the settings. so in the pbx dropdown menu click on settings and make sure the connection is set up correctly. However if you can get the command prompt you can programme with just a dumb terminal the / will get you the command prompt, the space bar is data entry and the . (full stop) is execute. There are other keys for other operations but you can find them at the front of the manual or if not just post back here. I didn't mean to imply that you were trying to hack the system. I just needed to point out that if this was necessary you would need NECs help.
