DTMF from cellular phones not detected

I have a question about Mitel's PRI card MC270AA. Does this card require an external CSU?

Thanks
JB

Not normally, but it actually depends on the service you are connecting to the card.

If you are connecting this to a Telco ISDN service then they usually deliver this circuit channeled for you and the CSU is not needed, but if you were to attempt to connect two systems back to back over a raw T1, then you would likely need one at each end. Some later versions of sx2000 software provide CSU functionality in OS controls, but this requires the MC270AA to be 'flashed' with a later core load; ie: PRI release 8.2, you can get from your Mitel Vendor.

Most premise CSU's are meant to split services into two separate routes; half voice and half data for example. Again this is usually a Telco component provided with the service you contract.

hoping this helps!
