caller id

Hello all,

I am a student in a t-com course and i am currently working on a sx-200d... I am unable to access the programming as someone from last year changed the default password (1000) to something else... I have tried to discharged caps in hopes of clearing the NVRAM but the floppy disks with the generic are not on write protected so i fear that they have been written over... any ideas on how to reset password or do i need to get new generic floppys?

Any help is appreciated,
Ken

Reseting Password

Without knowledge of the previous database password, you will unlikely gain access. Your only way in would be to obtain a known passworded disk set or a blank original "b" disk (right hand on 200D, bottom on 200L).

I use procomm for windows with a home built script that runs a series of password attempts against the master login, 'installer' until access is gained. This allows me to reset the password to default 1000 before logout.

I truly feel for your predicament. What system load (version) are you running? I may be able to help with a disk set with a known password.

RE: Stick a fork in it time?

Thanks for the prompt reply... I have a feeling I will be picking the brains of pros like you quite a bit this semster... I was able to get in contact with the local Mitel office and it looks like I will be able to obtain an original B disk.

Thanks,
Ken
