I am having a hell of a time figuring out what the assignment is for my T1 framer. Mitel docs make be believe it is Cabinet...7?

I have a t1 framer in the second expansion slot from the left looking at the front of the system. Does anyone know what that assignment is?

This is on the Main MX controller unit

Thanks

Kevin

Connecting 3300ICP MX controller to SX2000

Taken from Tech Handbook

Controller Cbinet Numbering

Cabinet 1 (hardcoded): internal

Cabinets 2 to 5 (hardcoded): CIM ports, from left to right

Cabinets 6 to 13 (6 to 9 for the MX and 100-user): module ports
(left to right).

From this I see the first port as Cabinet 8.

HEre is what you need to do from the maintenance terminal

Hi.

You are actually "free" to choose the cabinet number for ANY expansion module you install. You have available Cabinets 6 to 13 (6 to 9 for the MX and 100-user controllers). This means that in the Cabinet assignment form YOU DECIDE what Cabinet number you want. For argument sake it is easier for a maintenance Tech (and organization) to use a common numbering schema to avoid confusion during site troubleshooting. Hence, the reasoning from the THB provided below.
