Location: Utah Rep Power: 8 ![]() | more like Hey, I just got a 3300 ICP demo kit. I am trying to get some phones to talk to it, I get to the point where I register my pin and extension. What is the pin? I have tried a bunch of combos, the phone just goes into lockout. Anybody familiar with this? Thanks Kevin

Open the System Administration link (left hand drop down) Open the System Options Form link Click the "CHANGE" button in upper right of the window Find the "Pin Registration" & "Pin Replacement" input fields wihtint this list Enter something you will remember; ie "111" or "***" its really your choice. Enter it and click the "SAVE" button. reboot your IP set and upon display "ENTER PIN" you now type the PIN REGISTRATION Code you entered followed by the Programmed Extension number followed by the "SUPERKEY" (blue button on the phone). If you are running the default demo load ... I believe the Pin is default *** (three *'s). And the default Set is 1000 ? Another way is to put the MAC Address of the IP Set (on the bottom of every phone; usually looks like = 08-00-0F-XX-XX-XX , where the XX's are the last 3 octets of the MAC) into the IP Phone form. This will automatically assign the IP Set to this extension #. Good Luck.

Location: Utah Rep Power: 8 ![]() | RTFM !!! Right on, I had 3 stars in there and it would lock out the set. I changed my reg code to 4545 and it worked. I got bugs. How long have you worked on the 3300? Have you been to the class offered by Mitel? I just went to the SX-200 ICP course in NJ. Pretty good...tell me what you thought of the 3300 course if you have been. Thanks for the reply, good help! Kevin

Location: Kitchener, Ontario Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Glad to be of assistance. You should get familiar with the "context sensitive" help menus. I mean while you are in the system WebAdmin (Mitel calls this ESM - acronym for embedded system management) and sitting at any web form, click the help button in the upper right and "robohelp" will take you to the exact information you are working on. Simply amazing. For the record. I'm a 20 year Mitel Installer. I have a whole portfolio of Mitel Certifications; including the 3300. I have been installing the 3300 since 2k1, when it was initially released. A truly remarkable system ... AND IT WORKS, unlike some other systems playing IP. One "hint". The IP Sets are only as good as the network they connect through! If you do not properly design and configure the switching with QoS & ToS then you will never experience the excellence in the design of the machine. Anyway, good luck.
