| Has anyone any documentation that could be hlpful in getting Mitel's IP phones (5220 specifically) to work with a non MITEL IP switch (ie. Asterisk)? I know that Mitel do sell a SIP phone, but I am more interested in their other phones and seeing how much work would be involved in getting them to work natively with Asterisk. Thanks, Sam | ||||||||

Location: Kitchener, Ontario Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Update to your 'Mitel Questions ! I do not want to say "I highly doubt it" but the control file used on these sets is proprietary (not to mention copywritten) code. These phones are manufactured to pull down a specific system operating control code during boot by its main boot rom based on the Mitel system they are connected with. An interesting concept mind you. | ||||||||
