Rep Power: 39 ![]() | Jacko Bashing (could go to a pg13 rating folks) Hi all! I have inherited an SX2000 at my job, and although I have become fairly proficient at bits and pieces of the rather ancient text interface, I have reached a stumbling block with regard to moving extensions. Suppose I have 2 extensions, and I wish to 'swap' them. They both have the same handset types, features etc. Its obviously not as easy as just changing the location of the extensions, I know I have to remove the multiline set key assignments, remove all huntgroup references, call routing first alternative references, etc and THEN I can change the number. BUT - does anyone know the correct order? Steps? I have been unable to do this, and unfortunately are beholden to an appalling vendor that tries to charge us shocking amounts of money to make the simplest of changes. If anyone is in NYC and would take cold hard cash for something like a quick tutorial, I would really be up for that! I am rickt@publictheater.org if you can help out. Thanks!

Location: minnesota Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Analog Lines it "can" be fairly simple if you have two identical set be they 4125, 4025, 4150 or whatever if neither set is in any kind of call Pickup group, or something else that is different you cal type in "Move swap <phonea> with <phoneB> and it will move the two phones numbers around, so B is at A's location and visa versa, if one is a 4001 and the other is a 4025 you cannot do it. if you are Not sure what attributes are on a given Set in the CDE section, pull up the change Attributes form, type in the TN of the Sets involved recall it and view the entire form, some of the Entry's are on the bottom of the form and not viewable You must Hit the Down Arrow, (or Esc 3) to view the bottom. However since I don't know your specific software installed is I can't be much More specific,

| The command is move XXXX swap XXXX The XXX must be replaced by the extension number. This will swap the numbers but you will have to remove any Pick-up groups, or hunt groups. Handset type does not matter but if one has more programmable keys than the other the information is lost in the swap process. If they are different handset types then you could use mov re XXXX to XXXX. this is a renumbering command. If you look at the Change Attributes form this will tell you what is programmed on the extension. The sx2000 is very simple and user friendly once you get into it. If you need more help no worries. | ||||||||
