Question Forward - No Answer

Hi,

Our calls come into an AA and then to one of two hunt groups. If the call isn't answered by any member of the group we would like a "No Answer" forward to an external number. How do we do this?"

Thanks,
Joe

This is fairly simple, there are a few ways to do it but this is the one I use the most...

1) Make a speed dial entry that is number you want the call to go to with the ARS code (ie. 95072221234)
2) Make a Call Rerouting 1st Alternative entry with the No Answer options set to "This" and the directory number set to the speed dial entry use in option 1
3) edit the call rerouting 1st alternative entry for your hunt group to be the call reroute entry used from step 2
4) (Optional) Create a new COS with the appropriate times for Call Forward No Answer and assign it to the hunt group in question, if you don't do this then the COS of the first member in the hunt group will be used.

Should take care of it for ya!

Thanks for the help.

We have got it working with a "but".

For some reason if the external resources doesn't pickup within five seconds the call returns to the internal voicemail.

Sounds like you are missing an option in your trunks COS, verify you have Public Network to Public Network Connection Allowed set to YES for your trunks. Also make sure the COS used by the hunt group has Call Forward (External Destination) set to YES, either the COS set for the hunt group or on the first member of the hunt group if one is not specifically applied to the hunt group.
