Upload system audio issues

I've uploaded system audio files tons of times but am having issues with it now.

I log onto the 3300 and upload a file and I get a success message but when playing back the message the mailbox will play back the original message, not the new one.

Tried a different mailbox, same issue
Tried another audio file (which I've uploaded previously), same issue

Our 3300Mxe reboots ever Sunday morning so it's been up a few days now but can't see that being an issue

I use the upload procedure a lot as I use it for IVR messages etc, bit worried now! Any help would be appreciated!

Are these new mailboxes that you have created? If so you need to go throught the enrollment and record a message via the phone before you can upload a recorded message to the mailbox. Also how much space do you have to upload?

hi bobcheese

I tried this with a new mailbox and then tried with an existing one. Exactly the same.

How can I tell how much space is left? I've never checked!

okay it depends what you are uploading. If it is mailbox greetings then I dont think that this counts towards your memory limit but I may be wrong. Anyway go to the system audio files update form and at the top under audio source it says 'free space: xxx of xxx KB'

A bit more info on what you are trying to upload would be handy? Vmail greetings, RAD, MoH?

Sorry bobcheese, its a voicemail greeting, I can't imagine that we are out of space for voicemail, it barely gets used here.

Lots of free space left for audio source (I think this is just for MOH though isnt it?)

Yes I think so

okay so lets go over this from start to finish:

system audio file updates, select radial button 'mailbox greeting', enter mailbox number, select greeting type, browse to greeting and click update.

Is this what you are doing at the moment? Is this a personal mailbox or a mailbox for a Auto attendant? Doesnt make a difference its just because i'm nosey!!!!

Yep, that's it exactly. I'm trying to do it to one I'm using for an autoattendant the existing mailbox I also tested on was a personal one - mine!

lets start with your mailbox then. Your message at the min has been recorded? I mean that it is not the default 'sorry the person you are trying to reach is unavailable at this time'.....And when you upload the file it doesnt change?

I know you said you have done this before but you have checked that the file is A-Law 8KHz 8 bits mono? easiest way to check is use windows sound recorder save as select format CCITT A LAW and attributes 8KHz, 8 Bits Mono 7kb/sec

I have a quick message that I recorded myself originally. Tried to upload the wav to replace this and it uploaded successfully but hadnt changed it.

If you try to upload a file that isnt the correct format (which I manage to do all the time) it errors and doesnt allow you to upload it. The file I'm using is the correct format but just in case I've uploaded another file which I've used previously too, still no joy!

okay then i would be looking to FTP into the system and remove the greeting from the mailbox and then manually FTP the new message in to see if that works however you would probably need to consult your maintainer as they might not be very comfortable with you doing this (I know I wouldn't like customers I look after to be doing this).
