Tranf/Conf - call rerouting

Hi,

I have a SX2000 and im using the SS4025

First Assistant: 3201 - Type: key system
Second Assistant: 3203 - Type: single line
Boss: 3202 - Type: key system

Everytime that the Second assistant is trying to transfer the call to the BOSS it goes to the First assistant phone instead of the BOSS.

Here is what i have in place

On the BOSS phone no one is able to call him because in the call rerouting form i have ALWAYS Alternative for DID, TIE, CO, INTERNAL and it routes the call to the FIRST assistant extension(3201)

If the First assistant does not pick up than it will transfer the second assistant extension (3203) because in the first altervnative form i have set DID,TIE,CO, Internal with THIS and it routes to the second assistant extention( 3203)

My question is everytime that the second assistant tries to tranfer the call to the BOSS(3202) it goes to the first assistant extention(3201) .

How would the second assistant be able to transfer the call to the BOSS directly?

The first assistnat is able to transfer the call to the BOSS without any problems.

Im also looking into the mutline set group form and multiline set key assisngment but im getting confused

thank you

The first assistant can transfer to the boss because a call can't redirect to itself, the second assistant will never be able to transfer to the boss the way it is setup.

This can be done in two ways, one is using secretarial keys for the bosses extension on the two assistants, then CF the bosses extension to phantom multicall appearance on the two assistants phones, I have never done this, but it should work.

The other way would be to switch the bosses extension to a keyline appearance on the two assistants phones, then give the boss a different extension that no one knows.

This is the way I always set up these scenarios. Have the BOSS advertised number as a ringing or delay ring key appearance on the 2 assistant phones and perhaps a no ring on the BOSS phone. The BOSS extension is a separate number entirely and I usually set up a Busy lamp for this number on the assistant phones. They can then use the busy lamp key to transfer the caller or if the boss is on the phone then the assistant can tell immediately because the busy lamp key will be lit.

Yes, but it was not clear that was the original configuration...

My main issue was with the call rerouting... it made a full circle and since Asst 2 is not the call reroute destination of the boss (Asst 1 is) then all calls by asst 2 to the boss will be rerouted to asst 1. My point was that using Call Rerouting in this way will not work.
