Rep Power: 0 ![]() | mitel 3300 I have 4 analogue lines that I want to route to a group of 4 extensions for customer services without using ACD. I created a HG group with the 4 extensions as members. I assigned greeting to RAD SET 10 with a unique directory number 333 on a VM port. The trunk service number for the analogue lines has the HG number as the Non-Dial-In. The HG has mode:terminal, type:voice, first RAD: 333, second RAD: 333. When I call the any of the analogue lines, the greeting is not heard.

Location: Southeastern Minnesota Rep Power: 2 ![]() | A few troubleshooting questions: So do you hear the RAD recording if you just dial the 333 RAD hunt group?? If yes your RAD's are setup correctly, if not, you need to look RAD Hunt Group, greeting assignments, etc... remember not to use the last VM port for a RAD because it is used for message waiting notification, grab one out of the middle of the group. If this is all OK go to next step... What about if you dial the Customer Service HG from a phone internally, then do you hear greetings?? If yes then the CS HG is OK and its a COS of the trunks issue, if not, look at the HG setup and check timers, etc.. Should give you something to start with... __________________ Telephony users cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. Rep Power: 0 ![]() | ok the system is configured for only 4 VM ports, the first three are used for Voicemailboxes while the last port assigned for this RAD greeting. Would it be ok to increase the ports without disrupting what is already configured in the system during reboot. Should the HG type be set Voice/Voicemail, or RAD what should be in the 1st RAD and Second RAD ?? is it 333 ?? What should the members of the HG be ? the unique number 333 or four extension numbers

Location: Southeastern Minnesota Rep Power: 2 ![]() | First off, the number of VM ports is dependant on the number of DSP resources in the controller, a plain, unexpanded CX or CXi controller only has 4 ports available. If you want more you need add an additional Dual or Quad DSP MMC module, then reconfigure the number the ports. Also, if you have a T1/E1 Combo card, it also adds 2 DSP resources. If you have an additional DSP module or T1/Combo card, you can increase the number of ports to 16 on a CX/CXi or 20 on all other controllers without a problem. A reboot is required for the change in the number of VM ports to take affect. You will need to use two hunt groups, one for the extensions that will recieve the calls, configured as you stated above. You shouldn't just change the greeting on the a voicemail port and try to use it directly as a RAD, it won't work properly. You need to create another hunt group, that is a RAD type and add the VM port used for the RAD as a member, then assign that hunt group as the 1st and 2nd RAD's in the first hunt group. This will take that VM port out of the normal VM hunt group. It is STRONGLY recommended not to use the first or last port assigned to the embedded VM for a RAD, in your case using port 2 or 3 would be OK though. __________________ Telephony users cannot gain anything without first giving something in return.
