Question Messaging Server vs Nupoint Messenger IP

Can anyone give me opinions of Nupoint Messager vs Messaging Server? My company is looking at both as an upgrade from the embedded VM on the 3300. We would be installing the latest version of each platform. Thanks in advance.

equally adequate and both are quite formidable

both capable of highly sofisticated integrations and unification features; one easy and one not to unify - but both are intelligent

one has a track record spanning ... well this has got to be their 20th year; happy anniversary centigram - job well done. And the messaging server, well this is great product, but showed its green early in its release. the latest release appears more stable and feature clean. the only eyebrow raising question is how much trust you have in a win-based box?

the drawback to both is port and user feature licensing
- but this is identical to all software components today
- vapour ware we once called it

out of devotion to the birth of nupoint, I am biased - I will always love my centigram's.

In the UK Mitel do not really market the 6510, the Nu-point however is a different matter. Having worked on both i think that 6510 looks more accesible but Nu-Point is the better.

The 6510 is easier for a novice to work with, but NuPoint is far better. I'm anxiously awating the next release (12), there's some nice new stuff coming along with it. Improvements to Call Director, UM enhancements, and speech-enabled AA functions so you can finally throw out that old 6500 you've been nursing along the past few years.
