Identify an entrant number

Hi, somebody told me that is possible to activate a number identificator on mitel 3300, we have been having some issues with some entrant calls that are starting bothering our bosses and attempting to his safety when an exterior number dials to our plant in the thelephone display appears RDI, no matter if it's a cell phone or a conventional phone call, is there a way to know wich number is calling to my extension??

i'm using a tarificator system (i don't know if the word is correct) for outgoing calls, i'll ave to check if it's for ingoing, but i want to know all the numbers that dials to our plant, and maybe put them in a kind of log or something is there possible to this with 3300, or do i need to install something else??

hope you can help me out, you have done a great job in the past helping me out, thanks in advance...

Hello, dont know how other Telco providers work, but in the UK we need to speak to the Telco provided and enable incomming CLI, if this is enabled you should (as long as caller is not witholding the number) be able to see who is calling you, if the number is withheld, again in the UK we are able to set a network service up to stop withheld numbers from dialing you. I think that explaining this to your Telcoprovider would be a better option from the sound of it.

sorry RDI in spanish means "Red Digital Integrada" that means "Integrated Digital Network" (IDN)...

and yes i'm talking about the caller ID, the provider service is active right now, but still can't identify any number, i have removed the RDI tag, and when i place a call to the office it displays T0049 or something like that, what do i need to configure at 3300 to identify a number???

Try Alpha Tagging - do a search in the 3300 help.

I'm not familiar with ISDN services where you are, but in the US incoming CLID is standard on any PRI circuit. Make sure the correct options are enabled on both the COS for the trunks AND stations to display the CLID information. Check the docs for details, the settings vary a bit from one carrier to another.
