Installing s.w. on a 3300

Hello, as any one had the following error when upgrading/installing s/w ?

Attached TCP/IP interface to motfcc0.
Attaching network interface lo0... done.
Loading...
Error loading file: errno = 0x3c.
Can't load boot file!!

this is when i change the RTC settings manually, the FTP is working ok as colleagues can browse to the FTPROOT folder. Any suggestions i have tried this on 2 different controllers and 2 different hardrives. The software installer toll also fails. I really do think this is a setting on my machine as other engineers get different reasults.

Thanks in advance..

Glenn

ah well, turned out that the Windows firewall needs TOTALLY disabling. It seems that making exceptions and also FTP`ing back in on yourself is not enough. Only problem is our server group policys do not allow us to disable the Firewall. The IT dept (well Man) finally has some work to do now
