Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hi All, Is it possible to add some extensions to a groupcall list (i.e. they all ring when one number dialled) BUT allow all the phones in the list to answer the call and take part in a conference style call? The system I am looking at currently has about 8 phones connected to one plid/ext # which is used as an emergency number in an industrial location, the idea being when a user calls the number in an emergency situation various people can listen into (and take part where appropriate) the call such as control room operators, safety man, site manager etc etc. Trouble is as it stands the audio levels suffer terribly and this is compounded as they guy who reports the incident is usually outside on the plant with wind blowing and alarm bells sounding! I am reasonably au-fait with the sx2000 but never had to set anything like this up before so it has me stumped. Cheers GW

You can also use for "automatic" conferencing the Non-Busy Extension feature on SX-2000 - I use it on my site for automatic conferencing (you know the executives are a little brain slow and can't remember to press more than one taste

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Thanks for all the help and inspiration guys, I think I have a solution that is going to work now, its about 90% of what I was aiming for but it should be good enough. Basically the current system is thus... 8 phones connected in parrallel (I know this is not good, but I inherited this problem - and even when I reduce this to 3 its still poor) off one plid, and each phone also has an external alarm connected across the line so as well as the phone ringing you get a buzzer sounding. My solution - and I would not of got this without your inspiration - is thus... 1 Phone, set up as non busy extension. This is the number peoople dial in an emergency. The exisitng alarms/buzzers will stay connected to this line (this is why its not 100% solution).. All other phones now given their own plid/cct, and each programmed as a hotline connection, so on pickup they dial the first phone and basically create a conference call. Hopefully now each "emergency" phone has its own physical connection the levels may be better, however I am still concerned at having all those alarms paralleled across the main emergency phone as they could still - if there is a problem with them - affect the levels. I thought I could create a ring group where all phones would ring and activate their own alarm, but I dont think I can now, perhaps I was thinking of a panasonic switch. I know you can do this with Supersets, but the emergency phones are standard analogue phones. Hope that all makes sense, and thanks again for the feedback and suggestions! Gary
