Merlin messaging SA password

Hey all,
I have a customer that has a Merlin II system with Merlin Messaging. The MM was installed by someone else, and the person that administered it onsite has left. And guess what? No one knows the password. Is there a backdoor into Merlin Messaging? I am familiar with Partner pmvs and MLM voicemails but this is my first encounter with Merlin Messaging. Thanks for the help.

Hey Doug!

Posting backdoor passwords on public forums (such as this one) is highly discouraged.

My suggestion would be to contact a local Authorized Avaya Business Partner. Once they run a verification check, they will be able to reset the password for a fee that is much less than what Avaya will charge to do the same thing.

Paul

Good call Dexman. Even though some of us are aware of ways to access, we are not always sure of individuals intents. Plus when the BP gets you access you can make sure a office manager or someone keep the password on file in a locked cabinet for just such an occasion again.

Good Luck,
