American "terrorist" arrested

One of my phones voicemail light will not go off. How can I turn it off. I did this once but I cant remember and I think if I can remember a little it was just a little thing that I had to do to turn off the light.

Thanks in advance for any help

INI at start of Mids

Need 2 know what type of phone it is. Otherwise, what version of Octel? In the main menu options try option 9, then option 1 then punch in the voice mail ext and change the MWI to 'N' then leave a message in the box, retrieve it and delete it then go back into the MWI option and set it back to 'Y'.

Hope this helps

Fax Problem

I have run into this before when my Northern PBX has lost sync with my Aria 250. I use a message cancel key to turn off the light. I then send a test message to the user and it usually resyncs.

Octel password

What Web said, in fact enjoy this bit of info cause most Octel 250 (if thats what you have) will need resynching at least once a month, I have a case with Avaya related to that same issue to stop the unsynching from happening. In secret: Avaya knows there is an issue but will not admitt it publicaly because they are getting rid of the Octels as they are not that great of a VM System. From what I was told, they are moving to Intuity Systems which combines Octel and AUDIX features, they only took over Octel to eliminate the competition. Enough useless facts, my suggestion is to have Avaya turn off the ability for the User to decide wether the notifyer is on or off and leave it to default at 'Y'. BUT before you do that make sure everyone's MWI is set to 'Y' and preferably have Avaya turn off the User's Admin part after hours, that way there will be no mistake of turning the Administration part off after a User accidently set it to no. If that happens then only Avaya can clear it. If you need more specifics let me know, I am an old hat with the silly MWI Octel Issue.

MWI Issue

Sorry one more thing. After you try Web1972 suggestion, check your feature-access-code for the "Leave Word Calling Send a Message" and "Leave Word Calling Cancel A Message" codes so you can force the light if ever it stops working which it might as this is another known issue with Octel.
