Cool Octel version?

Hi All -

I'm trying to figure out what type of Octel system is at my one location. When I dialin it says "SYSTEM SOFTWARE RELEASE S.4.0.0-2 (04/30/99)". Can someone equate this to an Octel 100, 200, xxx type of system?

Since my strengths are on the Cisco side of things with a bit of Definity thrown in, I'm looking for some assistance.

Thanks!

Joe

Thanks. Does either of these support AMIS networking to speak to non-Avaya systems?

Thanks!

OK - I found out this is a VMX 200 system. I'm trying to figure out if this can support AMIS networking with a non-Avaya system.

Can someone provide some info on whether this is possible?

Thanks!

I can't help specifically because I am not familar with Octel products. But I would say that AMIS will work with most anything. That is pretty much the lowest common denominator for connectivity. Any machine that can provide analog output should be able to connect.

AMIS will work, but it is an optional software feature. It may or may not be activated. Next time you login, do a list feature from the @ prompt and look for SW-20015. If it's listed you're good to go with AMIS. If not you need to go through Avaya to get the feature activated.

Thanks for the good starting point. Is there a PDF manual for Octel by chance on Avaya's site that would be a good reference for the Octel commands to setup AMIS?

If I remember correctly, Volume 6 covers networking.

Just checked and you cannot d/l the docs as the page cannot be accessed.
