012 Card with Magix 4

I can not get a 012 analog line card to work with my CKE5 processor running Magix 4. I am not even sure it is compatible since I do not see it listed under the ‘cards’ menu. Under system inventory it is listed as a 012 but when you click on it in WinSPM to see the extensions assigned to it, it appears as a 008 MLX card. Anyone been down this road before?

I'm not 100% sure if the 012 is fully compatible with the Magix. Usually you don't see 012's being listed along side Magix hardware. If the board functions properly and you can live with the incorrect listing in WinSPM, you could probably get away with leaving things as is.

Otherwise you would probably want to replace the 012 with a 016 T/R, and then do all required programming changes.

It is not working now

I wish that were the case but it does not produce a dial tone or anything. I bet I will have to get a 016 unless you know of any tricks to get it going.

Thanks

If a board renumber (I think that is what it is called) doesn't work, I'd swap out the card.
